The General Assembly took place on 22-24 September in a hybrid format, having all 28 consortium partners joining in person and also virtually.

During the three days of the inspiring get-together, we aligned on upcoming project activities, established interconnections between work packages and, most importantly, got to know and connect with each other.

The first day was kicked off with the workshop on the Product Environmental Footprint facilitated by ENEA, followed by visits to production facilities of Marchi & Fildi Group S.p.A., a yarn producer and recycling expert, and Fratelli Piacenza S.p.A. (Piacenza Cashmere), a project coordinator and producer of luxury wool fabrics. Observing the complexity and technicality of textile production fostered the conversation on technical details for traceability solutions, which will be developed and implemented throughout the duration of the project.

On the second day, we took a deep dive into the discussion of the technicalities of different work packages within the project. Over the next 3 years, project partners will collaboratively work on the adoption, tracing and demonstration of sustainable approaches by means of an innovative and circular product information management system secured by Blockchain.

The General Assembly concluded with a presentation of communication strategy to disseminate the activities within the project and an informal dinner with delicious regional and traditional food!

We would like to express our gratitude to the project coordinator Fratelli Piacenza S.p.A. for the great organisation of the General Assembly, and thank everyone who was able to join, whether in person or virtually.

In the meantime, the project activities have started, and we’re looking forward to the three productive years ahead!
