On the 23rd and 24th of February, the TRICK project partners met once again in Biella, Italy, for the technical assembly that was dedicated to the coming important milestones for the project’s services and technology development.

In early 2023, the project has reached a crucial step in its platform and technology development. With the support of TRICK’s consortium members, the project aims to create a data collection platform secured by blockchain technology and integrated with a dedicated marketplace for affordable services for SMEs in the European textile industry. The pilot testing is currently running in parallel and focuses on two domains. First in textile clothing, and then replicated in the food sector. Read our blog post here for the latest progress regarding the technical textile pilot. The research result and demonstrator are foreseen to be available as the project moves forward to more mature stages.

The meeting gathered our technology and service providers, research experts, and industry end users. Meaningful exchanges and discussions have been fostered for the six services enabled by the platform:

  1. Preferential Certificate of Origin (PCO)
  2. Product Environmental Footprint (PEF)
  3. Circularity Assessment
  4. Health Protection Compliance
  5. Social and Ethical Assessment
  6. A.I. for Anti-counterfeiting

Presentations were given by each of the service providers to describe the service contents, requirements, and user interface. The opportunities and challenges foreseen in the exploitation and market were also highlighted and thoroughly discussed. The feedback collected from both the technical aspect and the users' perspective during the meeting is critical for pilot development and success to meet the industry’s needs.

The assembly wrapped up with the definition of the coming roadmap, and the partners will continue to work collaboratively until the end of the project in October 2024.

TRICK would like to express our sincere thanks to our partner Domina for organising the meeting and to all the partners for joining in person or online.  In the coming months, more progress and achievements will be shared on our social media channels.
